Body Acceptance 101: Healing Negative Body Image
Approximately 80% of U.S. women don't like how they look. 34% of men are dissatisfied with their body. Over 50% of Americans aren't happy with their current weight. If you struggle with your body image, you are certainly not alone. For those recovering from an eating disorder or are stepping off the dieting rollercoaster, body image concerns can become increasingly difficult to cope with. In this webinar, BALANCE Primary Therapist Dani Bryant, MS, MHC will help participants on the road to healing negative body image.

Dani Bryant, MS, MHC
Dani is a mental health counselor, trained in drama therapy. She is a proud Health at Every Size (HAES) clinician who is passionate about working with individuals who have experienced confusion, anxiety or shame about their identity, bodies or relationships with food. She received her masters in clinical mental health counseling from Molloy College.
Dani's background as a playwright and performer in the the professional theater has deeply informed her therapeutic work and she believes in the power of taking hold of our own narratives and becoming the storytellers of our own lives. Dani describes her therapeutic work as creative, strengths-based and from a humanistic approach. Dani also often integrates playfulness & humor within the therapeutic space!
Dani has facilitated drama therapy based groups and counseling with many populations, such as adolescent & teens, outpatient substance use rehabilitation and community based programs for young adults living with disabilities, as well as in private practice. At BALANCE, Dani leads Expressive Arts and other process oriented groups in the Day Treatment Programming and Intensive Outpatient Programming.
